About The Red Masks

Welcome to the home of The Red Masks, an ongoing illustrated series telling the story of the Red Mask Army. On this blog, there will be concept sketches, fully rendered paintings, inked comic pages, and anything else that I feel would help me tell the story of The Red Masks. Although I want the story to be the main focus, this project will also serve as a tool to help me figure out my voice as a narrative illustrator. Some pieces will be revisited in different media to try and find the best voice for each illustration. Hopefully, this blog will serve as a visual journal of how my narrative skills, format choices, and media preference change over time.
